Idaho remains one of the nation’s youngest states as household incomes continue to rise
Boise, Idaho – Governor Brad Little commented today on the news from the Idaho Department of Labor that Idaho’s median age remains below the national average and household incomes increased again in 2025.
“From day one, I stated my goal – to make Idaho the place where our children and grandchildren choose to stay, and I am gratified that the latest data from the Idaho Department of Labor confirms Idaho continues to be a place where young families want to put down roots. Idaho remains the seventh youngest state in the nation, with one of the highest shares of households raising children, and household incomes are growing.
“We know there is more work to do to keep Idaho affordable and ensure our communities have the infrastructure and opportunities they need to grow, but these numbers show we are moving in the right direction. We will continue working to protect Idaho’s way of life, strengthen our economy, and make sure the next generation has every opportunity to succeed right here at home,” Governor Little said.
